"The X-Pac fabric is what sold me —the organization kept me."
I've been on the hunt for a new pack for awhile now. I've been using different ones over the past few years, and found that none of them met my needs. That's until I saw a review of the Sympl Commuter Pack 24L in Carbonate. After that first review, I watched more and more reviews of this pack than I can count. Until something clicked and decided, this has to be the right one for me. I received it in the mail. Opened it up. And immediately I knew something was different. The front admin/tech area is a dream. I am able to fit all of my quick access tech right there in front. It's easily accessible and easy to find. I love it. The clamshell opening is lovely. Great to load all of my daily essentials with the ease of locating exactly what I need without having to scrounge around to find it. The laptop sleeve is perfect for what I need. I don't carry a separate tablet, so needing another slot for something like that is unnecessary to me. The front quick access side pocket is perfect for my notebook/journal. It makes it easy for me to grab when I need to take some quick notes or just jot down what I am thinking about the day. I love the side water bottle pocket. It's a perfect size for my bottle. I don't use a gigantic one, so the size is perfect for me. And the other internal "water bottle" pocket is great for my umbrella. I saw a lot of reviews where they used that area for that, and I can confirm it work perfectly for that sort of thing.
Overall, I love this pack. I think this is definitely my endgame EDC backpack. I'm so glad I pulled trigger and purchased it. I see myself using this until the wheels fall off. Which is something I don't believe will happen anytime soon.
Love this bag. Its perfect size and organization are well thought out. My first Sympl bag was the Pedal Mafia collab of the V1 commuter, which is also a great bag, but the limited V2 had some great improvements along with the sweet colors, so I decided to upgrade when the preorder opened, despite thinking that the 24L option would have been better for me.
I got the olive X-pac version when they released them as a limited run. That said, I have two things that could be improved. One is the comfort. If you’re a bit larger or have broad shoulders, it can be a bit uncomfortable if you have it on your back for extended periods. The second is more of a personal preference, but I really wish they would have offered the green x-pac in the 24L size. Matter of fact I wish the limited run was for the 24L versions instead of the 20L. Anyway, don’t get me wrong, for many people the 20L will be fine, but I think for a larger number of people, the 24L would actually be better and I think it gives the bag the room that makes it perfect without adding unnecessary bulk. Unless you’re a smaller person or specifically looking for a small bag, I think the 24L option makes the bag perfect. Even though the bag is a bit uncomfortable on long stretches, I still love it in comparison to the many others that I have used over the years from all different brands. However now, I find myself wanting to spend money I don’t have to upgrade to the black xpac 24L option because I know how much better it would work for me. But I’ll lose that sweet olive and gold color combo, and it’s a pretty costly bag for just another 4L. TLDR: Amazing EDC/tech backpack! Get the 24L xpac version, even if you don’t think you need the extra 4L, and you won’t be disappointed!
Sympl: Please add the olive xpac in 24L as an option or another limited run. You’ll make some money and more people happy! Lol
Ein unterirdische Lieferservice. Überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen. Hat nicht einmal ein Stern verdient.
One of the best bags I own. It really is that Sympl
Materials feel cheap for the price, the shoulder straps are comically large and the backpanel is way to stiff so it has no chance to mold to the back anatomy, it just doesnt fit my body. Otherwise its an ok backpack with good builtin organisation.
