I thought the Commuter V2 was excellent, but the X-Pax verison fixed my three issues with it. Pocket on the top is great for quick access to glasses and earbuds, pen clot in the admin compartment, and the X-Pac material is so nice.

Not too big for daily use, and just the right size got a weekend getaway.

And it's green.

Has to be the best backpack i have purchased after more than 30 backpacks. Super duper comfortable to wear even after heavy load. All compartments are so well thought through. A bag designed by bag nerds for bag nerds

The Xpac variant addresses every one of my complaints about the original. The 20l Commuter was already excellent, with some of the best organization out there, but it was a bit heavy, the key leash could have been better located, a sturdier fabric would have improved its silhouette, a top access pocket for things like sunglasses would be nice, a clip above the external water bottle pocket would be good to help hold it in place, and the interior color could use an upgrade. For me it was a strong 4/5: excellent overall, but with those small complaints.

Enter the Xpac variant, which addresses literally all of those complaints. Seriously: they're all solved. It's a beautiful bag with incredible materials, gorgeous liner colors, a bit lighter, holds its shape and stands even better, and I swear the front external access pocket somehow has more capacity than before. I love the new pocket, too, plus that clip above the water bottle pocket, the better key leash placement, etc. It's just perfect now. I got the green and it looks great, but I'd recommend the black to anyone in a heartbeat, too. If they could somehow make it so the front external pocket held its shape just a little better (it still sags inward when not packet out), then it'd be a perfect bag. I absolutely love how well it self-stands.

If they released other bags with similar upgrades in Xpac with the improved internal colors, I'd consider buying more of their bags. But I would *definitely* buy more if they opened color options even more. Imagine the Xpac Commuter 24 with a blue exterior and the brown interior? I'd never wear another bag! Please consider red, tan, or blue exteriors, and definitely keep the new internal lining colorway. The carry community is definitely growing a little tired of all black bags. The new colors are a great touch and I hope they add many more soon. Especially blue Xpac!
