Phone Sling 1.5L

I took this with me on a 2 week trip in Japan and it fit my passport, wallet (Sympl brand), chapstick, phone, and a handkerchief. It was difficult to take the wallet in and out because I had it in the 2nd pocket after the passport (opposite the phone pocket) and it was a tight fit, but I didn’t want it to fall out by just leaving it in the main compartment.

The zipper opening and closing is loud and I’m not sure why.

I like that everything is tight and secure, but it wasn’t easy to take things out and put them back in, especially in a rush, and you have to slide them in at an angle.

Just a perfect everyday carry sling with one major exception: The strap for the Carbonate version is only comfortable if you are a taller person. If you are 5’9” or shorter there is a good chance the magnetic latch will hit you right on the top of your shoulder — NOT comfortable. The latch on the X-PAC version is much closer to the actual sling. If I had known this I would have spent the extra cash for the the X-PAC. Reached out to Sympl, but was just past the return policy. I’d even pay for the X-PAC strap if I could but it’s not offered as an accessory. A real bummer too that the straps connect to the sling via a proprietary clasp, meaning third party straps are not really an option.

The SYMPL Phone Sling 1.5 L is an excellent design and made of quality materials for providing security and safety for carrying my I Phone.

I no longer have to consciously choose pants with pockets or groan when my pockets don't fit everything because this solved all of my problems. It's sleek, compact, and beautiful. With the vertical shape, it's getting a lot of attention.

It's the smallest sling I own but the one I reach for most. Taking a walk to get over my creative block? Sling on. Going to a dinner date? Sling on.

Only two things I wish it had were 1) RFID protection on the card puller, and 2) slightly more give in the key pocket.

But overall the pros outweigh the cons by a mile. Love this little thing and love Sympl for valuing its customers' feedback and actually making the changes. This v2 is an outstanding upgrade and my next purchase is going to be the commuter v2.
